INTRODUCTION

Our school G.M.H.S I RC  DHANAS CHD is situated in Dhanas. The total area of our school is 15297 sq. mt. and built up area is 6248 sq. mt. It has four floors. And each and every floor has sufficient light and all the rooms are airy. School opened on 13th July 2015. School runs in double shift, Morning (P. Nur, Nur.  And VI to X), Evening (Ist  to Vth) each room has equip with smart board. CCTV camera is installed in corridors and class rooms.

SCHOOL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE(SMC)

Have been assigned the following projects which they will co-operate successfully:

  1. Direct transfer of amount at school uniform (summer & winter) and Notebooks for students  from 1st to 8th class in their Bank accounts.
  2. Distribution of Books for students from 1st to 8th class.
  • Monitoring of mid day meal and timely guidance for nourishing self cooked meal.
  1. Inspection of building and play ground from time to time and necessary guidance provided to the school for betterment.
  2. Monitoring of funds by the SMC.

 

ACADEMICS

The school has produced remarkable achievements in the field of academics. The school has got 50.8% result in CBSE class 10th.  Appeared 240 Passed 122.

 

      MORAL AND SPIRITUAL

From time to time different NGO’s were invited for the upliftment of students in the field of moral & Spiritual. Lecturers were delivered by eminent persons to remove stress and anxiety among the students.

Annual sports day and prize distribution function will be celebrated, drawing competition declamation competition, Beti Bachao Beti Paraho, Pardhe bharat bardhe bharat. Many other NGO’s will contributed in the field.

ACHEIVEMENT OF GMHS RCI DHANAS CHD, FOR THE YEAR 2018-19

Six gold, two silver and four Bronze Medal in Ist CHANDIHGARH TAEKWANDO CUP CHAMPIONSHIP.  One bronze and four participants in SGFI ALL INDIA NATIONAL TAEKWANDO CHAMPIONSHIP. One gold and four bronze Medal in INTER SCHOOL JUDO (National Camp Participate)
6.Three students were selected UNDER NATIONAL PAINTING COMPETITION ON ENERGY CONSERVATION. One student got 2nd prize in DEPARTMENT OF FOREST AND WILDLIFE. One student got third prize in STATE LEVEL KALA UTSAV. First prize and second prize in SERVANTS OF THE PEOPLE SOCIETY .
7.Sports Day was organized at school premises to motivate the students for performing physical activities. Medals were given along with refreshment
8.2ND Annual Prize distribution function was smoothly conducted to boost the morale of the students.
9.Celebration  of Dewali mela in which Science and maths exhibition are organized.
10.Celebrated  Independence Day and Republic Day making children aware about its importance. School band performance along with Flag hosting done
11.Students of class 8th and  9th  students visited Science City Kapurthala, Punjab.

A group of 475 students learn about new technologies in Science to broaden their horizon of knowledge

12.Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Abhiyan has been completed in school campus.

Rallies, Slogan writing, poster making competition, Essay writing competition  organization

13.a. Health check up camp was conducted in the campus by Bharat Vikas Parisar by the experts doctors and spectacles given by them to the students

b. Health camp was held by senior citizens Mr. Kondal. ENT examination was held by the Doctors from the sec-19 dispensary.

c. Rallies for rubella and measles were organized and albendazlole was distributed to all the students.

14.Public Address System with speakers have been installed .

This will helpful in monitoring assembly

15.Workshop attended on CCPCR guidance was given on good touch and bad touch.
16.To improve the quality of education seven key domains were made and Teachers participate to make shaala sidhi project.
17.Counseling and Guidance were given to 9th and 10th class students from various corporate and professors from P.U., Chandigarh University and Infosys etc.

Such workshop help in guiding the students for their better future

18.School effort to provide free uniforms, shoes, books and notebooks to 30 students for 9th and 10th classes.

The effort was fruit full thanks to the consistent effort taken by the NGO BHARAT VIKAS PRISAD.

19.Samvedna Eco-Club has been made in the school.

To create awareness about herbal and medicated plants among the students. 200 plants were donated by municipal corporation, jan kalyian samity, SBI ladies club, LIC, Boxter company.

20.Primary Students visited ‘Chattbir Zoo, Botanical garden, Butterfly Park, Japanese Garden and High Court.

For excursion and to be with nature and to gain the knowledge

21.Aadhar camp was organize in school campus.

To motivate the students to enroll them selves

22.Bio Metric machine will be installed for punctuality  of the staff.
23.Sensitize the students for Swach Abhiyan doctors from various institutes called in school campus to gave the lecture on Swach Abhiyan.

More rallies has been conducted. Swach Ambassadors has been made to keep the school and its surrounding clean.

24.LIC Quiz competition was held. Quiz competition was held in kala gram our school got the first position.
25.Participated on the Earth Day conference organized by the department of Environment at Moti Ram Arya Sr. Sec. School.

Got certificate for making efforts to protect the world by going green

26.Girls students has been given 56 hours training for self defense.

 

 

PROJECTED DEVELOPMENT DURING 2020-20

  1. Health Check up camp will be has been done in school campus. Complete dental eye check up, height and weight will be done.
  2. Tree Plantation will be celebrated in the school.
  3. Sports Day will be celebrated.
  4. School will participate in INSPIRE AWARD.
  5. School will participate in Science Exhibition conducted by S.C.E.R.T.
  6. School will participate in Inter School Tournament by the sports department.
  7. School will provide school Uniform, Books and Notebooks upto 8th
  8. School will also help for the poor and needy students to provide books, fees and uniform with the help of NGO’s(Bharat Vikas Parisad, SBI ladies club, LIC,an industrialist Abhinav Garg).
  9. School will guide for better carrier to 10th class students with different universities.
  10. Carrier Counseling will be done.
  11. Vocational Guidance and information their legal rights will be given.
  12. School will participate in Quiz Competition, Declamation Contest, Arts Competition, Music Competition etc.
  13. School will organize the lecture by the expert doctors and NGO’s about adolescent problems, behavior etc.
  14. Training has been given to the students of class X for filling the admission forms of XI class.
  15. Schools will effort to improve overall development of a child to become a good citizen.

LIBRARY

School has a library. It is newly established school few books are available in library. Moreover Periodicals and magazines are there on regular basis. Newspaper- Tribune(English), Hindustan times (Hindi and punjabi) is available for all the students. Try to make Book Bank this year.

Examination syllabus has been adopted purely uniform System of evaluation prescribed by the CBSE Guidelines and education department.

MUSIC

All music activities like group song, folk songs different Morning Prayers, National Anthem, Drama , Skits, Welcome Song, Vande Matram, Saraswati-vandana, Bhajan, Shabad, Fancy Dress, giddha and Bhangra has been performed for different activities performed in school.

Dance Competition In Tagore Theatre was held on 04/12/2016 various dance group took part in it. Our dance group (4 girls)  got 2nd position. The students were awarded with certificate and trophy.

Republic Day and Independence celebrated in school. National flag was unfurled by Headmistress. Students participated in the function of Republic Day of state Bank of India, sector-17 , Chandigarh and performed group song and National Anthem including school band.

 

MID DAY MEAL

  1. Mid Day Meal Scheme is used to serve to the students of Pre. Nursery to 8th
  2. Hygienic M.D.M will be ensured for the students. The room of MDM will be maintained clean by MDM Incharge Mrs. Madhu Bala and Mr. Pardeep (Evening Shift)

 

SCIENCE FAIR ACHEIVEMENT 2018-19

  • Participated at State level science mathematics and environment exhibition for children (2018-19) was held at SCERT Sector 32-c UT Chandigarh.

ADMISSION AND WITHDRAWAL

Admission will be done as per RTE. The parents will not be harassed in anyway. The department will strive for the ‘Education for all’. For outgoing children T.C. will be issued without any delay.

EVACUATION PLAN

Evacuation plan has been installed in every Floor for safety for any disaster.

ART ACHEIVEMENTS

  • In visual art competition at cluster level our school got the second and consolation prize.

CLEANLINESS

School campus is kept neat and clean. Checking of student’s cleanliness is done regularly. Students are guided to wash hand after and before the Mid-Day-Meal so that good habits will develops in the students. Hand washing platform will be made in near future.

ACHIEVEMENTS OF ECO-CLUB

Herbal garden is constructed in the school and different varieties of medicinal plants were planted and students were made aware of the medicinal values of plants. Different rallies were organized to highlight the issues of pollution. Especially during Diwali Festival “NO CRACKERS” rallies were organized. Students were taken to Nepal forest.

  • 300 Plants has been planted by School Staff.
  • Kids adventure park (swings setup for the adventure park) .

HEALTH ACHEIVEMENT

Complete health check of the whole school by the team of doctors from Fortis, PGI & Dispensary of Dhanas Chandigarh.

Followings areas were covered:

First Aid Training was imparted to class 9th students. First Aid Team of students was made to help the injured and given first aid help.

Eye camp was organized by Eye Specialist from Govt. Dispensary sector 19, Chandigarh

Dieticians visit was arranged for parents as well as for students. Health related medicines were distributed by the department. Lecture on health and hygiene was organized.
